What’s the first step you take to achieve your goal. Is it buying the latest fitness product or is it the one thing you have always taken to accomplish your goal. I’m guessing you guessed it right, lifting weights. Lifting weights is the single most important factor when it comes to achieving your goal. The longer you have been lifting weights the more proficiently you are at it. Your body adapts to your training and you get better and more muscular over time. So in a sense the longer you have been lifting the better you get.
The best thing you can do is find a reliable gym in your area that is close to your home and that has a full complement of equipment for your need.
2. If you don’t have access to a home gym (click here to find out how to workout for free or very little) then you need to look at who has a gym at their residence. It doesn’t matter where you train you need a gym that is close to home. A gym near your home or office will provide you with adequate rest and recovery. It is easy to get derailed when training in the gym because it can be an hour and half drive to your home or office.
3. Train heavy and concentrate on technique and form. Just because you are lifting heavy weights doesn’t mean you need to be sloppy and with sloppy technique and form. Find a qualified personal trainer and ask for help or don’t find a trainer and pick a weight up from around 80% of your maxes. Work out the rest of the time with proper technique and form. Don’t over train and don’t overstress your muscles.
